It was a bit of a scramble to get everything organized after moving just a few short months ago from Tennessee, but I was able to pull it together and deliver a display of my popular goat milk soaps, as well as lip balms, cuticle creams, shaving bars and body lotion. All were well received. Part of the display also included pictures showing the process of making the soap. The plan for next year is to have a video showing the process - but people seemed to enjoy seeing how it was made as well as pictures of some of the does who contributed to the milk supply!
It was a good day for the farm - meeting the local businesses and community and getting some nice comments and praise on the products. I anticipate farm visits over the next few months, from people wanting to meet the goats and others interested in herd share for next year. I think I have also found a young helper for the 2016 summer.
The festival was the first time the new inventory management and pop support from Square was used - which both tracked sales, taxes and inventory much quicker than I could. Being able to print out a report this morning of financial related data as well as what sold makes the day after an event much easier!
